Last year on the day before Thanksgiving I ran a piece called Thinking About a Different Kind of Disaster Map which offers an alternate way to think about mapping a disaster. Similarly, this year I offer for your consideration a report issued by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies which highlights a "new way" to think about executing a disaster response.
